I have dedicated my entire life to horses and have specialized in starting green and young horses and restarting
racehorses. My experience in dealing with these kinds of horses has built the framework for my philosophy of
teaching. I believe a very strong foundation in basic equitation and correct, balanced riding, with an emphasis
on learning the mechanics of how a horse functions will ultimately lead to better communication and trust
between horse and rider. This is essential for mounted police work because it promotes not only a more willing
and trusting horse that is safer on the street, but also a happy and healthier horse as well.
